Wear Your Cap To School Day!
Wear Your Cap To School Day is a national in-school initiative dedicated to raising awareness and funds for children battling cancer. Caps for Kids, the international non-profit organization behind this effort, uses the donated funds to provide young patients with celebrity autographed hats and sports memorabilia. Their goal is to help build lasting memories and give the children the pride, confidence, and strength needed during their fight with cancer.
Every fall, students around the country are asked to donate $1.00 during school to this cause. In return, they get to wear their favorite cap!
While teachers, administrators and/or principals are responsible for registration, students can take an active role as “Caps for Kids Ambassadors” to help promote the event and collect funds from their classmates. It’s a great way for the whole student body to give back to their community!
